Fairfax Chiropractor and Board qualified to practice Acupuncture since 1999, Dr. Elizabeth Murphree

Chiropractic Changed My Life

Serving patients for over 15 years, I am continually blessed. Having a diagnosis of carpal tunnel syndrome, chronic bronchitis and thoracic outlet syndrome, I was a major skeptic in the past.  I was actually afraid of what would happen when my doctor told me that I could not be given any more antibiotics. Activator Methods is a method for chiropractors who want to help their patients heal with a low force adjustment.  Gentle, yet effective is my motto.

Dr. Elizabeth Murphree

I decided after all the drugs and diagnostics for carpel tunnel syndrome to try chiropractic and acupuncture because the allopathic method of healing wasn't working even after 6 months. I was tired of not being able to lift a coffee mug or dry my hair without pain. Chiropractic changed my life. Acupuncture made me realize how energetic our bodies really are. I saw so many other women suffering with neck, hand and arm conditions that I realized our workplaces were not set up for people under 5'10". An chiropractic and acupuncture healing awareness arose in me and a need to help other people so I went to school.

My practice philosophy is to be "serving patients in the know"...I am very open to what my patients have experienced. I listen with a keen ear to see what things I can connect for them with their health and their goals. Physical stress can wreak havoc on the nervous system and prolonged stress can hurt the body. Through many different approaches, I can help the patient if I listen to what approaches and outcomes that they had success with in the past.

Dr. Murphree, An Excellent Example, Teacher and Resource for Health Information

Physician, heal thyself...boy, is that true. It is very easy to give advice and protocols but quite another thing to do it. I constantly strive for balance and recognize that my patients do as well. Most of us are not perfect so our goals must be to be the best at what we can accomplish and save the rest for the tomorrow. It will be here soon enough. I have patience with my patients so that they do not become failures if they do not quit smoking or stop crossing their legs. I am their teacher, and their doctor. As of December 2009, I have shed over 75 pounds with a homeopathic remedy that I sell and patients have shed over 350 since January 2010. My blood work in July 2010 was that of a 20 year old, I can show you anytime. It is exciting for my patients and myself.

I consider myself an excellent source of information about health, disease, and recovery from our current food sources. I have Non-GMO contact lists, sustained agriculture recipes, and a belief in whole health. Using acupuncture, Reiki, chiropractic, and cold laser assist me in determining what is best for your quick recovery. Nutritional counseling is very important to fight off as much aging as we can.

I enjoy fishing in my spare time. I also donate my Reiki income to Lake Country SPCA, this is a joy of mine as the budget in these little towns pales in comparison to Fairfax County and the dogs tend to run much larger in size.

I hope I get the opportunity to meet you in person and discuss your specific health challenges. Give our office a call for a consultation today.

Dr. Elizabeth Asks some important questions of interest to Fairfax residents - Chiropractor Fairfax Dr. Elizabeth Asks...

What's the difference between sick care and health care?
Sick care is largely about relieving or suppressing symptoms. Health care is about improving performance. While sick care is about how you feel, health care is about how you function. Sick care is what you do to treat an obvious problem, and health care is what you do to avoid the problem and advance your well-being.
What's a side effect?
It may sound like a bonus; something extra, but chiropractors know it should more accurately called an "unintended effect," and "unwanted effect" or in some cases an "adverse effect." A pill can't come close to matching your body's ability to create and deliver the essential compounds it needs. That's when it's important to make sure your nervous system is working correctly—the purpose of chiropractic care!
