Fairfax Chiropractic & Acupuncture Fee Policies

Chiropractic care benefits all ages

Initial New Patients are around $190 for the first visit encounter either for chiropractic or acupuncture.  We are "out of network" with all insurance companies but will submit to one of them indicating you have paid in full for our services as a courtesy to our patients.

Our clinic focuses on the "quality" of care you will receive from us.  Dr. Murphree books her patients so that she spends more time with them.  Most treatments are $75 for chiropractic and $75 for acupuncture.  These are usually performed with some kind of therapy to better assist the process of alignment and relaxation.  These therapies are from $15 to $30 each.  We have found that our patients get paid back faster, with more money, and with no hassle from their insurance companies or flexible spending accounts with our policy changes since 09-2009.  It is amazing.

At this time, we are not accepting any additional Medicare patients as we are full. We will discuss this with you in person if you are a senior and in need of a referral.  Acupuncture which is not allowed to be paid by Medicare Part B, will be still accepting New Patients.  The corresponding "denial" from Medicare may be used to bill the secondary insurance carrier.

The most important relationship for Dr. Murphree is with her patients.  Over the years, she has seen patients change from HMO to PPO to Flexible Spending and attributes most of the selections because patients want "health" care not "sick" care.

Our clinic looks forward to serving you and will provide you with as much information as possible to determine if your insurance will cover your healthcare choices.

Dr. Elizabeth Asks some important questions of interest to Fairfax residents - Chiropractor Fairfax Dr. Elizabeth Asks...

What's the difference between sick care and health care?
Sick care is largely about relieving or suppressing symptoms. Health care is about improving performance. While sick care is about how you feel, health care is about how you function. Sick care is what you do to treat an obvious problem, and health care is what you do to avoid the problem and advance your well-being.
What's a side effect?
It may sound like a bonus; something extra, but chiropractors know it should more accurately called an "unintended effect," and "unwanted effect" or in some cases an "adverse effect." A pill can't come close to matching your body's ability to create and deliver the essential compounds it needs. That's when it's important to make sure your nervous system is working correctly—the purpose of chiropractic care!
