Your First Visit to Our Fairfax Practice

Dr. Elizabeth consults with patients explaining everything in advance. Most Activator Methods chiropractic patients request this technique from our clinic.  Patients may want to know what is the best treatment for a certain condition.  That information is a phone call away.  Some patients may need a consultation first to discuss what their options are.  Patients should bring a list of  their supplements, medications, and have a recall of their health history.  There are lots of areas that a patient can look into based on the diagnostics they have had prior to the visit and any future ones that may be needed.  Depending on the patients attitude towards procedures, patients are asked to bring in as much data, x-rays, and MRI's that they want to review based on the region of their body in question and the reports dated in the last 6 months of the visit.

Plan to spend an hour and a half with us on your first visit.  For this reason, there are only certain times that we will take new patients on a given day.  This allows for traffic, paperwork , etc.  Paperwork is a necessary function and can be filled out prior to the first visit to save time and stress on everyone. If you pull down the paperwork or get us to fax it to you, then your first visit can be shortened by half an hour

We Explain Everything First

The purpose of your consultation with the doctor is to discuss your health goals and see if chiropractic is likely to help you. If it looks promising, a thorough examination will help identify the cause of your problem.

Fairfax patients appreciate that we explain everything in advance!

Dr. Elizabeth Asks some important questions of interest to Fairfax residents - Chiropractor Fairfax Dr. Elizabeth Asks...

Where do most Fairfax residents get their first subluxation?
Being born in a hospital is a common source of subluxation. Trauma from forceps delivery has been replaced with drugs, vacuum extraction, Cesarean section and births that are "scheduled" to fit the workweek routines of Ob-Gyns. That's why we recommend a chiropractic checkup for every Fairfax newborn.
What happens if you stop chiropractic care when you feel better?
Many Fairfax folks recognize that this predisposes you to a relapse. Chiropractors know that muscles and ligaments supporting the spine don't fully heal until after symptoms subside.
