About Fairfax Chiropractic and Acupuncture
Dr. Elizabeth K. Murphree DC CCST LAc RMT has been delivering quality chiropractic, physical therapy, and acupuncture care to the Northern Virginia community since 1996. Dr. Murphree became one of Virginia's first Physician Acupuncturists in 1999 that has since been combined into one license with Board qualifications. She was still interested in furthering her education so she received her Reiki Master/Teacher in 2009 and became one of Virginia's fewest Certified in training for Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation in Basic and Advanced levels in 2011.
In addition, Dr. Elizabeth K. Murphree DC CCST MAc RMT had an interest in a postgraduate certification of 120 hours in neck trauma. She uses that experience and combines it with her acupuncture and chiropractic to really help her patients of 15 years.
Her approach in this clinic is simple. She believes that health is our most valuable possession. While she generally meets people after they’ve lost their health, her commitment is two-fold:
1. Pain Relief Care for her patients.
When many people seek care in our clinic, they have one goal in their minds: relief. So, that’s where we start! During this initial stage of intensive care, we have several obligations:
- Uncover the underlying cause of the health problem
- Suggest a comprehensive care plan to produce the fastest results possible including acupuncture, therapy, Reiki suggestions
- Offer ways patients can participate in their own recovery thru exercise, whole food supplements, and herbal remedies
- Explain the value of post-symptomatic wellness care for seasonal confrontations

2. Wellness Care for her patients.
We encourage our patients to achieve the highest levels of health they can. Through educational opportunities (like this website), we hope to communicate the value of ongoing chiropractic care. Our desire is to see our practice members abandon the prevailing sickness care model of health (waiting for symptoms and then taking action), in favor of the emerging wellness model.
You’re the Boss
I want my patients to feel that they are in charge of their own journey. I am here to offer support, advice, and treatment but they are the ones in charge. Too often, I hear stories of medical intimidation for my new patients. It is unbelievable to me that this situation is still going on but it is even when it comes to acupuncture. If the patient cannot ask questions and get answers, then they are likely to prolong their suffering. I think an open conversation and review of their symptoms will lead to a better outcome. This process takes time.
