Meet the Doctor

Dr. Elizabeth K. Murphree DC is board qualified to practice acupuncture and chiropractic.  She obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic in 1996 through the Virginia Board of Medicine.  Licensed and seeking more education, Dr. Murphree became one of Virginia's first Physician Acupuncturists in 1999 that has since been combined into one license with Board qualifications.  She was still interested in furthering her education so she received her Reiki Master/Teacher in 2009 and became one of Virginia's fewest Certified in training for Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation in Basic and Advanced levels in 2011.

Dr. Elizabeth K. Murphree DC CCST MAc RMT had an interest in a postgraduate certification of 120 hours in neck trauma.  She uses that experience and combines it with her acupuncture and chiropractic to really help her patients of 15 years.

Born in Ft. Worth, Texas, Dr. Murphree has picked Virginia as a place that healing needed to begin over 15 years ago.  Currently expanding her clinic, she will be practicing in Clarksville, VA (Bugg's Island/Kerr Lake Reservoir) on Mondays in the near future.  Her goals are to be in two clinics so she can have fun fishing on her time off.  Working Saturdays has been her service to the area and maintains open hours 50 weeks out of the year for the last 15 years.  She believes that this shows her dedication to your health.  Donating her Reiki income to LakeCountry SPCA has been another joy of hers as the budget in these little towns pales in comparison to Fairfax County and the dogs tend to run much larger in size.

Meeting the doctor is to have knowledge and understanding that Dr. Murphree is here for you first.  Blessings.

Dr. Elizabeth Asks some important questions of interest to Fairfax residents - Chiropractor Fairfax Dr. Elizabeth Asks...

What's the difference between sick care and health care?
Sick care is largely about relieving or suppressing symptoms. Health care is about improving performance. While sick care is about how you feel, health care is about how you function. Sick care is what you do to treat an obvious problem, and health care is what you do to avoid the problem and advance your well-being.
What's a side effect?
It may sound like a bonus; something extra, but chiropractors know it should more accurately called an "unintended effect," and "unwanted effect" or in some cases an "adverse effect." A pill can't come close to matching your body's ability to create and deliver the essential compounds it needs. That's when it's important to make sure your nervous system is working correctly—the purpose of chiropractic care!
